US Embassy in London hosts City of Ali screening

City of Ali director Graham Shelby introduced the film and participated in a talkback session with attendees at the embassy, who responded well to the documentary.

On October 24, 2023, the U.S. Embassy in London, England hosted a screening of City of Ali as part of the film's inclusion in the U.S. State Department's American Film Showcase cultural diplomacy program. 

The event, scheduled as part of the embassy's recognition of Black History Month in the UK, also featured a performance from the UK theatre troupe Odd Arts, which presented excerpts from a play about the life of British boxer and civil rights activist Len Johnson.
